October October 6th, 2017 We're back, baby! Obviously there's no new Hero Factory (OR IS THERE ((there's not))), but y'all didn't need it to want to see this place up and running. Dive in on in. May May 22nd, 2014 Our lead programmer for the site, Metax, has formally changed his username to Akihabara! So if you need him for anything, you can get a hold of him here: Link January January 10, 2014 Oh yeah, it's the new year. Sweet! Too bad new Hero Factory sets aren't coming out in North America until March. September September 7, 2013 For all it's quiet periods, HS01 is still trucking along. Still some things in the works, but it's tough to get it all out in a timely fashion. Any and all help is appreciated. June June 30, 2013 We're back after a few days of server maintenance! There are a few bumpy patches here and there as a result of upgrades, so report any bugs to Meiko or ask Metax for help smoothing some code. June 18, 2013 Eurobricks is celebrating Hero Factory for their monthly theme! Keep checking back with them for reviews and contests, among other things. June 3, 2013 Please welcome the two newest members of the HS01 staff, Meiko and Creep Of The Deep! June 2, 2013 Been a while since we've had some updates, eh? That one's on me. Got some cool stuff going on that we can hopefully share in the coming days. Also believe it or not, we're actually looking for things like set reviewers and news reporters, so if you're interested, we'll take applications. February February 4, 2013 Hey look, a new Main Page design. A little simpler than the previous one, but more streamlined, and helps match BS01's. It's still in the process of being updated, but if you have any comments on the new digs, or suggestions for improvements, the main page talk is always open! January January 3, 2013 Merry 2013mas, everybody! Hope you all enjoyed the holidays and such. The wiki has seen an uptick in activity, which is always nice. There were some crucial things missing, but we have a lot of good stuff now. For anybody looking for some stuff to do, there's the new (and first, actually) Featured Project on the front page, and a general list of tasks I keep around for stuff that needs to be done. The Main Page will theoretically be updated to be more like BS01's at some point; if you have any opinions on that, shout out on the Main Page talk! Additionally, some summer 2013 photos have appeared on the internet; despite the apparently legitimate origins as such, the information and pictures are still not confirmed to be legally released, so hold off on introducing them to the wiki for now. October October 28th, 2012 Oh em gee u guise, another skin! And we're gonna keep 'em coming. If you have any kinds of suggestions for improvements, or ideas for skins, or whatever, contact Dorek (that's me!). October 10th, 2012 Hey look, we have a new skin! Hopefully with more to follow. We're almost completely up to date with all current info, but there's some stuff (like the Doom Box) that we could use some help with. In other news, 2013 pictures of Hero Factory have started cropping up on the interwebs. We ask that people not post these yet, as they are most likely leaked, and it's not our place to make the information available just yet. We'll let you guys know when that stuff is fair game. August August 6th, 2012 As part of an effort to keep things more manageable and up to date, HS01 has reverted back to the old style of current events, with news being condensed to allow more concise information to be conveyed. In other news, the site itself has featured a few small changes over the past several weeks, the most noticeable being that the "coming soon" box, previously an ironic mainstay of the front page, is now home to two separate features: Featured Article and Featured Image! One or the other may rotate out as necessary for other features, but for now, we have these two for you to purview and maybe discover something new. Thanks to Metax for introducing a quick change that allowed this all to be possible. That's all we have for now, folks. December December 25, 2011 From the BS01/HS01 staff to you, our users, and all of our readers and browsers, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas. November November 24, 2011 So I finally got around to installing a new extension into HS01 (and coming soon to BS01 if it works properly) that will prevent Spambots from infesting our fine site(s). It's called Asirra (Animal Species Image Recognition for Restricting Access) and it's been developed by Microsoft Research. It's 100% free and, in my view, the best way to block any unauthorized user (also known as a spambot) from registering. With any luck, if it works, we'll be able to avoid them in the future, and not have to work as hard to keep the site from being cluttered with spam. Feel free to leave me a note about it, and any suggestions for more work done to the sites (aside from Skins on either site, I've been -busy-) - November 12, 2011 After weeks of coding efforts, HS01 has finally started implanting new templates. Though the changes are mostly aesthetic, we hope that they provide a new dimension of enjoyability to your wiki experience. Please bear with us while the templates are all changed; there may be some differences and errors in the interim. November 3, 2011 HS01 now has an Articles for Debate page. If there is a page you would like to see, or wouldn't like to see, or would like changed somehow, let your voice be heard! This page is the one-stop shop for discussing the nature of pages, so don't be afraid to speak your mind. Remember, this now reverses the previous policy of instantaneous page creation; all new pages must go through this process. October October 24, 2011 Cholie got super old. October 3, 2011 It's been a solid six months since HS01 opened, and already I would dare to call us the most accurate and comprehensive Hero Factory wiki out there. It's all thanks to editors (and viewers, you unknown subjects you) like you who help keep us inspired. If you are in the Puget Sound region, I highly recommend you check out the sights, sounds and smell of Seattle Center and check out BrickCon. If not, you can still be excited I guess XD. Swert will be there, as well as some BZPower members, and MAYBE Kraahlix and Dorek on either the 1st or 2nd. Bother them for info, I can't predict if they will be going or not. August August 28, 2011 HS01 now has a brickshelf account! It's still a work in progress (especially since Brickshelf has placed new restrictions on PDF uploads, which hampers the ability to get instructions on there), but feel free to check it out here. The intent is not to become a substitute for HS01 in terms of images, or to house everything HS01 already has, but rather to supplement the wiki with images that it may not have room for, or can otherwise not find an appropriate place. If you have any suggestions as to what we can upload, feel free to contact a staff member, or leave a note on the talkpage. There will be updates and revisions as time goes on (including in that mystery box), so look forward to it. July 15, 2011 HS01 is debuting some new skins, and we need your help in deciding them! To settle some new coding issues that we're experimenting with (which you may have seen), we need everybody possible to take a demographics survey for us. The question? April April 30, 2011 HS01 is debuting a new news system! In order to accurately convey new information for Hero Factory, HS01 has created a new category explicitly for news pages; this means that all new news stories will recieve their own page. News specifically for HS01 will continue to have the monthly system it was designed with, but with addendums such as what was used here for news that cannot be acurately conveyed in a single paragraph or blurb. The news system, thus far, will only apply to official Hero Factory story and set news. However, this may be expanded in the future. The news will be helmed by General Manager Dorek. News reports and suggestions may be posted on his talk, emailed to him, or sent in a PM on BZP (when it comes back from the downtime). This new system is on a trial run basis for the month of May. Questions, comments, and concerns may be posted on the this page's talk, or on Dorek's talk. April 27, 2011 So we added a Favicon. Update your bookmarks accordingly. I decided to use the April Fools Day icon as the favicon. Any other recommendations can be made on Swert's BS01 talk page. April 12, 2011 HS01 Moderator Dorek has been promoted to General Manager! Being the sole GM of HS01, Dorek will be responsible with answering questions and solving disputes that Moderators do not have an answer to. Go to him before you go to Swert. Monasti, for being the best rival I could have going. Til the end of times, my man. A friend of mine, Stephanie, for being so awesome in using Adobe Illustrator. She made the HF logo we use in the logo and background, and applied a bold affect to the HS01 in the logo. You, the editors! 2014 July July 10, 2014 I would say I'm a horrible person for not having updated, but in truth, very little has actually occurred; the summer wave has been revealed, but not released, and the story is in exactly the same place as it was. This month, for the first time in what feels like ages, there has been a Hero Factory spread in the LEGO Magazine; two, in fact! Summer set info is now allowed, etc etc. January January 10, 2014 For anybody who has played the Invasion From Below game, you've gotten a nice taste (read: the whole thing) of the new Hero factory episode. 2014 is kicking it into high gear with the products... just not in North America, where the sets have been delayed for a few months. Regardless, the main site has updated (even if it doesn't feature any new content) and the material is still available.
