HeroFactory.com has updated its Products section to include all of the Summer 2011 sets!<br>
Thus far, the product page is the only thing that has updated with any new changes, but building instructions have been included with each set description (save for Witch Doctor).

So far, the Shop description links to the basic product page, even though the products are not yet available in all regions.

The Products section is all that has been updated so far, but Summer is on its way.

August 19, 2011: [unique element in HRT]

A new news post has appeared in the News section of the Hero Recon creator. According to the news post, Hero Factory specialists have been unable to locate a new source of the carbon metal that makes up the unique Hero Recon Team chest plates, and expect to run out by September.

What this means for the consumer is that the Hero Recon creator will stop producing its exclusive piece, the dual colored, co-injected silver/black recon chest piece that was only available to people who used the Recon creator. Starting September, the piece will no longer be available, but the Design byME team promises that good things are coming in the future of the Hero Recon creator.

On a related note, the most recent story update for the Recon Team, "Combined Elements", features a new "combi-element", bringing the total there up to do. What exactly will happen with these elements remains to be seen, although it appears they will eventually be available from the Recon creator in some capacity.

August 24, 2011: [Element updates]

August 24, 2011
Amid a number of technical glitches on the Hero Recon Team site, the latest storyline chapter, "Combined Elements", has been updated with yet another "combi-element".

The site itself has been experiencing several technical difficulties over the past few days, with the Combined Elements chapter being repeatedly taken offline and removed from the list of chapters, only to be put up again. The main splash page of the Recon creator, which normally features the latest story update, also has a blank section where the Combined Elements icon should be. (Additionally, there is a clickable, but invisible, link for another storyline chapter, aptly entitled "Chapter 5", but the link is perpetually broken)

The combined element, the third of what appears to be a planned series of four, is actually listed as "combi-element 4", so hopefully 3 will surface at some point.

August 30, 2011: [Elements in HRT]

August 30, 2011
Jungle elements are coming to the Hero Recon Team in September! As part of a teased update, the Hero Recon Creator will be getting some added elements, featuring things from the newest wave of Hero Factory. In addition to these new elements, there will also be certain "combined elements", as detailed on their storyline page, available for purchase.

As an added bonus, the Hero Recon creator is also being upgraded to allow four extra elements with your total order, without raising the price. Previously, your model was limited to 31 pieces total, which is now 35.

No specific date on when the Hero Recon creator will be updated, but September is right around the corner, so look forward to these exciting updates!

September 7, 2011: [Jungle Update]

September 7, 2011
The Hero Recon Team has been updated with various 3.0 elements! As per a promised update, the Recon Team creator now has various "combi-elements" to choose from, in addition to a higher piece count (31 elements to 35) and an expanded palette to include 3.0 Jungle elements. The exclusive Recon chest plate still appears to be selectable, so no word yet on if they have officially run out. Unlike the previous Recon release, the shop.lego.com Pick-A-Brick selection has not been updated.

Go to herorecon.lego.com today to build your new Hero!

Update
It appears that the gallery feature of HeroRecon.lego.com is broken, which prevents you from saving your Hero properly. We'll let you know when this is fixed.

Update 2
The Gallery issue has been fixed, and Heroes are now saveable. Get building, and have fun!

September 27, 2011: [3.0 in LDD]

September 27, 2011
In keeping with the close relations the Hero Recon creator has with the LEGO Digital Designer program, the HRT website has recently announced that Merrick Fortis, in his 3.0 form, is now available as a starter model in LDD.

Merrick Fortis (bearing an ordinary silver chest plate, as the dual colored, formerly exclusive piece is not available in the basic LDD mode) was previously available, in his 2.0 incarnation, as a starter mode in LDD as well; this model has been replaced by the updated, 3.0 version. HRT had previously made an announcement about Hero Factory models being available as starter models, but did not specifically mention Fortis.

LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) allows you access to thousands of digital bricks, which you can use to create your own virtual models. A download link to the program is included in the HRT news post.
