Set Information

The set's box

The set consists of 89 pieces. It was exclusively released in Toys 'R' Us stores in the United States of America.

Features

The set features two Meteor Blasters, each connected to the bottom of one of Vapor's forearms, turning the Meteor Blasters into Vapor's variation of them called the Vapor Launchers. Vapor also has four various silver blades on his forearms, two on each forearm. The left silver blades can rotate.

The set's Bulk figure is a version of Bulk from 7168 Dunkan Bulk, but unlike the canister set, this set's version of Bulk has the Sonic Boom Weapon for his right arm rather than the right arm itself. Bulk also has a silver jetpack and a plastic tube in front of his neck.

The back of the box shows Vapor's stats.

Collectibles

Like the canister set, this set's version of Bulk has a silver helmet and a transparent orange Hero Core.

Vapor has a blue helmet, which is a variant of the helmet used in the 7162 Rotor set. Despite the helmet having no eye holes, Vapor has a blue head.

Reception

Trivia

  • In the title of the set, as well as media outside of the United States, Vapor's name is spelled as "Vapour," which is the international spelling of the word "vapor".
  • In LEGOshop.com and Brickset, the set is known as "Duncan Bulk and Vapor". This is similar to 7168 Dunkan Bulk when that set is called "Duncan Bulk" in LEGOshop.com and Brickset. In Showdown!, the "Bulk and Vapour" set is known as "Bulk and Vapor".
  • Vapor has two blue blades on his upper arms, and the blades are blue variants of the ones used in the 7156 Corroder set.
  • The jetpack is the same as the Av-Matoran sets' from BIONICLE.
  • Vapor's arms are the same as Atakus and the Stars Skrall set's from BIONICLE.
  • This set's Hero figure is the only 2010 Hero set figure to not have four-fingered hand pieces from Glatorian and Agori from BIONICLE, as he has two weapon-arm pieces in place of them.
  • Unlike Hero Factory's sets in 2010-2012 and Bionicle's 2009 and 2010 sets that have Glatorian heads that wear helmets, Vapor and 7162 Rotor's helmets do not have eye holes.
  • It is believed that the set was going to be "Thresher and Vapour" because Thresher from the television episodes looks like the Bulk figure in the set, but green and without the jetpack or the breathing apparatus.
