Rotor is a dim-witted villain that was often paired with XPlode by Von Nebula.
Biography
At some point, Rotor was built. His life before he became a villain and how he did so are unknown.
Rotor was wanted by the Hero Factory for extortion, sabotage, and assault across the galaxy. He was eventually forced to flee his homeworld after becoming wanted for treason. If he was to be brought back there, he would face being disassembled.[HFPM]
Von Nebula
Von Nebula hired Rotor to be a member of his gang. Rotor was paired with XPlode by Von Nebula on many missions because Von Nebula knows Rotor needs someone to keep him in line.
At one time, Von Nebula assigned Rotor and XPlode to use a machine on the sixth planet of the Taygeta system to defeat two Heroes, Dunkan Bulk and Jimi Stringer. When the Heroes arrived to arrest the villains, the villains used the device to drain them of their Hero Cores' energy. However, Rotor was frustrated with his and XPlode's plan, so he tried to defeat the Heroes immediately, but he unintentionally ruined the plan by exposing the device to the Heroes. Stringer destroyed the device. The Heroes arrested the villains and put them in a prison. However, Von Nebula sent Thunder to break the villains out.(Galaxy's Most Wanted - Evil to the Core )
At one time, Rotor encountered Hero Preston Stormer.[Episode 1]
The duo was sent by Von Nebula to raid and capture a shipment of C-4000 explosives guarded by three veteran members of the Hero Factory's Alpha 1 Team, Stormer, Jimi Stringer, and Dunkan Bulk. The Heroes nearly defeated the two villains, but XPlode betrayed Rotor and escaped, leaving Rotor to the heroes, who surrounded him. Stormer assigned a rookie Hero named William Furno to use Hero Cuffs to capture Rotor, but Rotor avoided Furno while taunting him with his spinning rotor blades.[Episode 1] Bulk asked Furno to give him backup, but Furno refused, believing that he can capture the villain by himself, and then used his Dual Fire Shooter to stop the rotor blades from spinning, pinning Rotor down to the ground. After Furno removing his weapon from the rotor blades, the criminal took an advantage of this by showing a miniature Meteor Blaster to try to blast the four Heroes out of the way. However, the Heroes were not hurt by Rotor, and Rotor was able to fly again and escape the Heroes, laughing. Rotor returned to his employer.
Soon after the C-4000 raid, Rotor was again teamed up with XPlode to attack an explosives plant on Lemus 2. The two successfully stole several crates of explosives from the plant and had just exited when Rotor spotted a falling Hero Pod and used his Biohazard Gas Shooter to shoot it down. However, the destroyed Hero Pod was a decoy that Stormer had used to allow Furno to land in his team's Drop Ship along with two rookie Heroes, Natalie Breez and Mark Surge. When Stormer and the rookies attacked, XPlode ordered Rotor to shoot down Stormer, which would leave the rookies to be picked off one at a time. Rotor used his Biohazard Gas Shooter to hit Stormer dislocating vital power unit. This forced Breez to repair the hero, while Furno and Surge engaged Rotor and XPlode, respectively. Furno ran to the Drop Ship to retrieve his motorbike and used it to evade Rotor and XPlode's fire. When Furno got closer to the villains, XPlode abandoned Rotor again by pushing him to Furno's direction, angering Rotor. XPlode tried to reach the stolen explosives so he could use them against Furno,[C1] but Surge used his Lightning Shooter to keep him from the stolen crates, making XPlode get away with his Hover Bike. Meanwhile, Rotor fought Furno in hand-to-hand combat, but Furno managed to put the Hero Cuffs on him, capturing him this time, before Rotor could attack Furno more. Furno used his Dual Fire Shooter to force Rotor to go to the Drop Ship by stinging his rear end, annoying him. Rotor was then arrested and imprisoned by the Hero Factory in their Villain Storage.[C1][Episode 1][Episode 8]
Breakout
Rotor was later among the many villains who escaped during the Breakout, caused by Voltix, and went on the loose.[Episode 8] Later, Rotor got recaptured.[SM4]
Abilities and Traits
Rotor was one of Von Nebula's most dangerous minions. Rotor is a twisted, sycophantic lackey of XPlode's, wanted for numerous crimes across the galaxy. He is a master of escape. Rotor is very fast, which makes him easily able to dodge any Heroes' attacks, especially when in flight. He is also known for his sick sense of humor, given that he tries to decapitate people with his propeller blades.[HFPM] He is also cruel and has an explosive temper. He looks at XPlode as his only friend, despite XPlode always abandoning him in crisis situations.[FO:MSG]
Rotor is larger than XPlode and other of Von Nebula's henchmen.
Tools and Armor
Rotor used his jetpack with propeller blades to fly and fight. He wielded a Meteor Blaster and a smaller, pistol-like version of it.[Episode 1] He also used a Biohazard Gas Shooter. The Meteor Blasters and the Biohazard Gas Shooter were confiscated when he is jailed.
Rotor's helmet looks like Vapor's.
