July 10, 2014
I would say I'm a horrible person for not having updated, but in truth, very little has actually occurred; the summer wave has been revealed, but not released, and the story is in exactly the same place as it was. This month, for the first time in what feels like ages, there has been a Hero Factory spread in the LEGO Magazine; two, in fact! Summer set info is now allowed, etc etc.

For anybody who has played the Invasion From Below game, you've gotten a nice taste (read: the whole thing) of the new Hero factory episode. 2014 is kicking it into high gear with the products... just not in North America, where the sets have been delayed for a few months. Regardless, the main site has updated (even if it doesn't feature any new content) and the material is still available.

The September/October issues of the LEGO club magazine are starting to arrive in mailboxes. Nothing centric to Hero Factory, unfortunately, but it does feature a neat crossover between Hero Factory and Legends of Chima in the form of a combiner between set 44000 Furno XL and 70200 CHI Laval.

Christian Faber recently announced on his blogspot that he is teaming up with members of Ghost, the digital animation company responsible for many of the BIONICLE shorts and commercials, for a 22-minute Hero Factory special in 2014! What this means for the future of the line is unclear, exactly, suffice to say that there will be some Hero Factory-related content next year.

Eagle-eyed researchers of Hero Factory have discovered a guide book available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The book is written by Greg Farshtey, and will feature a cover with "effects". Don't exactly know what that means, but it promises an in-depth look at the universe, so it's something to look forward to.

As mentioned yesterday, we said we would let you know when BZP posted their Toyfair experience of Hero Factory, and here it is!
February 10, 2013
The New York Toyfair was today, giving us our clearest look yet at the summer sets. As most of the information has already found its way onto the wiki, anything official about the new sets is obviously fair game. We'll wait for our friends at BZP to have a proper rundown of the sets before linking to any pictures.
An episode featuring most of the new sets from the Brain Attack wave has also aired in Korea. No word yet on an English language release, but we'll update whenever we have news.
February 2, 2013
Over the past two months, the Hero Factory website has updated, in a complete overhaul of their previous design.
In other news, Toyfair is almost upon us! Several international Toyfairs have already occurred, but we'll wait for a full shakedown of the New York one before adding too much summer information. Unfortunately, this year we won't have a man on the inside, but hopefully we'll still have some images to share regardless.

2013 is officially upon us, but Hero Factory appears to be taking it slow; the website has not officially updated yet, and the latest LEGO Club Magazine (out now!) only has a teaser, but other aspects of the main 2013 story have surfaced in places. The newest book, Secret Mission 3: Collision Course, has been released, and the Hero Factory website features a trailer for the upcoming TV episode(s). The latest game based on the series, Brain Attack has been released to mobile platforms, as well.

With a return to the old style of news, I'll use this space to alert people to the fact that the first U.S. Hero Factory book (entitled Secret Mission 1: The Doom Box) has a preview of the prologue and first few pages, as well as part of the sneak peak of the second book, Secret Mission 2: Legion of Darkness. Check it out here, then pre-order the book!
