The Acid Blasters were clawed weapons used by Corroder. He appears to have the blasters as his hands.
Functionality
The blasters were capable of firing highly corrosive streams of acid and shredding materials. They can also spray green smokescreen, and Corroder would use his Meteor Blaster to expand the smokescreen, allowing himself to escape. The Blasters have razor-sharp claws, and can also be used for melee combat. The claws can be used to penetrate through rock. Corroder can use the Blasters to scale on girders and lift girders and construction pillars. The Blasters can also be used as shields, as they can deflect Jimi Stringer's Sonic Boom Weapon's sonic blasts. Corroder can use the blasters to move in all fours, like a quadrupedal animal.
Example Usage
In Comic 2: Core Crisis, Corroder used the acid streams from his Acid Blasters to destroy a large part of a future prison.
Set Information
The Acid Blasters are included in set 7156 Corroder, released in late 2010. Each one consists of five of the set's 39 pieces. Corroder's back armor looks like one of the Acid Blasters.
