The Plasma Shooter is a variation of the Meteor Blaster used by Core Hunter.
Functionality
Designed to mimic the effects of lightning, the Plasma Shooter used current sheets that enhance resistance and increase the buildup of energy within the gun for a desired shot, which results in a large explosion and radiation outpour. It can shoot energy blasts[SM1] that way. The gun also has a red spike on it. A bandolier was used to connect the gun to Core Hunter's back armor.
Example Usage
In Secret Mission 1: The Doom Box, Core Hunter fired the Plasma Shooter at Preston Stormer, but it hit Arctur instead, fatally wounding him.
Set Information
The Plasma Shooter, using the same pieces as the Plasma Gun included in the Breakout Hero sets, is included in the 2012 set 6222 CORE HUNTER, but it has a red spike on it. A bandolier connects the gun to Core Hunter's back armor.
Trivia
- Though using the same pieces and bearing a similar name, the Plasma Shooter is distinct from the Plasma Gun featured in the Hero sets of 2012, as it has the spike and the bandolier. This weapon also exists before the Plasma Guns were made.[SM1] Core Hunter is said to have the weapon in his LEGO.com description.
- Some of the Hero sets' Plasma Guns are called "Plasma Shooters" in their LEGOshop.com descriptions. The Plasma Gun is also called the "Plasma Shooter" by HeroFactory.com, and a picture of Julius Nex's Plasma Gun was used to represent this, though it is ultimately a Plasma Gun, according to Face Off: Makuro's Secret Guidebook.
- The Plasma Guns on Daniel Rocka's jetpack are called "Plasma Shooters" in its descriptions.
- Mark Surge's Jetpack Wings has launchers called "Plasma Shooters".
