The Ice Spear Blaster is a long-range weapon once used by Mark Surge.
Functionality
The blaster shoots spears made from a frozen mixture of ammonia, methane and chlorine, which all freeze at much lower temperatures than water. A thin film of crystalline benzene covers the entire spear, to keep it from evaporating before it reaches its target. A small self-guiding computer with a laser guide rests in every spear's tip, guiding it with accuracy to its target. The blaster can generate a new spear every ¼ second, making it a rapid-fire weapon. It also features a climbing hook. The blaster can also shoot fireworks.[Episode 5]
History
It was presented to Surge by Natalie Breez at a ceremony honoring Surge's bravery. Surge used the blaster to shoot fireworks to celebrate the moment.[Episode 5]
Surge has since abandoned this weapon in favor of a Plasma Gun and an Electricity Shooter.
Example Usage
In Ordeal of Fire, Surge used the Ice Spear Blaster to create fireworks at a celebration in his honor.
Set Information
The Ice Spear Blaster was included in set 2141 Surge 2.0, released in early 2011, consisting of 3 of the set's 30 pieces.
