The Surge and Rocka Combat Machine was a Battle Machine built for Mark Surge and Daniel Rocka for use in the subterranean tunnels below Antropolis City.

History

After fending off the Jumper Beasts in Antropolis City, the remaining Heroes of the Alpha 1 Team ventured underground to rescue their kidnapped teammates. The Heroes realized they needed to build Battle Machines more suited to the terrain below ground, so Rocka had Nathan Evo help him set up the Remote Builder to build such machines. Evo used the Remote Builder to construct five machines: the Rocka Crawler, Bulk Drill Machine, Breez Flea Machine, Evo Spider Machine, and the Combat Machine. Surge initially took sole command of the Combat Machine while Rocka took the Rocka Crawler. The Heroes ventured further down into the Jumper lair. They eventually encountered a cavern with a powerful magnetic field that separated them into two groups, Surge with Rocka, and Evo, Dunkan Bulk, and Natalie Breez together.

While navigating the magnetic cavern, Rocka's machine was trapped on a rock, and approached by two Jumpers. Surge used his machine to save Rocka from a Tunneler Beast while simultaneously using the massive firepower of the Combat Machine to deal with several other Jumpers. After the Rocka Crawler got pinned by two rocks, he finally bailed out of his Crawler and joined Surge in the secondary portion of the Combat Machine. However, soon after the Heroes used the Combat Machine to defeat a few Jumpers, a chunk of rock hit Surge's portion of the machine, damaging the portion of the machine and leaving Surge open to be kidnapped by another Tunneler Beast. Rocka engaged the secondary portion of the Combat Machine, an armed personal jet, and flew down after Surge.

He eventually emerged in the lair of the Queen Beast, reuniting with his fellow Heroes, but the Queen swatted away the jet, making it crash-land near a pool of acid, throwing Rocka out of the jet. The jet fell to the pool to get destroyed by it.

Features

The Surge and Rocka Combat Machine was a large machine with two separate machines combined together. The bottom machine was large and armed with a Goo Shooter, which is a variation of the Plasma Gun, and an armament of six missile launchers. It also had four legs, and could hold two laser guns for the machine's two Hero pilots. The top machine was a smaller jet armed with four missile launchers, which can detach from the main body by activating "flight mode". The jet's wings move when it starts to fly. Each of the machines featured a detachable cockpit and a bulletproof visor. With the mini-jet detached, the main body could support top parts of crawler machines, like the Bulk Drill Machine, Breez Flea Machine, or the Evo Spider Machine. Surge controlled the bottom part of the Battle Machine while Rocka controlled the top part, as the visore have the parts' pilots' names on them respectively.
