The Hero Factory storyline features many characters with varying personalities and traits who reside outside the prime reality. While these characters often have prime reality counterparts, in many cases they differ in personality and lifestyle. These characters appeared in Secret Mission 5: Mirror World, Dangerous Dimensions, and Face Off: Makuro's Secret Guidebook.

Heroes

  • Justice Apex - a crime-fighting organization of rookie Heroes led of William Furno after he quit the Hero Factory. They compete with the Hero Factory.

Heroes

Due to the destruction of the Hero Factory building long ago, no more Heroes were created after the first wave of Heroes. These Heroes include Daniel Rocka, Natalie Breez, Mark Surge, Nathan Evo, and Julius Nex. However, recently, after the jolters and Citadel's inner circle were created by the Brains, these Heroes will be created.

Villains

Citadel

A group of villains who ruled much of the galaxy after the Legion of Darkness destroyed the Hero Factory long ago.

  • The Citadel's inner circle - all but one were killed by the Brains (deceased)
    • Von Ness/Von Nebula - Von Ness betrayed the Hero Factory corporation early by selling the plans for the Hero Factory building to Black Phantom, so the Legion of Darkness was able to destroy the Hero Factory. Von Ness became the evil Von Nebula and formed the Citadel with the Legion of Darkness and many other villains. He was their leader. His body was distorted by the Black Hole Orb Staff during a fight against Stormer. His fate is unknown when the staff made him disappear (unknown fate)
    • Legion of Darkness - all but XT4 formed the group (deceased)
    • XT4 - he was reprogrammed to be a villain by Von Nebula rather than Black Phantom doing this to XT4 (deceased)
    • Core Hunter (deceased)
  • jolters - robotic guards/bounty hunters who served the inner circle. All killed by the Brains (deceased)
  • A male robot robber that four members of the prime reality Alpha 1 Team defeated

Brains

These Brains are radically different from the prime reality's ones by being larger, having wings that allow them to fly, and being able to shoot mental blasts, telepathically communicate, and make their hosts mindless.

Civilians

  • L-model robots - robotic clerks who work in Von Nebula University (Makuhero City's alternate universe counterpart)(NOTE: "L-model robots" is a name used to call these robots in this wiki)
    • L-22 - a female robot who was briefly fired by Speeda Demon
    • L-23 - scheduled to take L-22's place by Speeda Demon
  • A male robot that the robber tried to steal a box of tools before the robber was stopped by the four members of the prime reality Alpha 1 Team

  • Akiyama Makuro - retired from the Hero Factory

Heroes

  • Von Ness - never became a coward, so he never became Von Nebula. He took Makuro's place as leader of the Hero Factory. Now killed by the newly-reformed Legion of Darkness

Villains

  • Legion of Darkness - the Legion reformed and killed Von Ness

In this reality, the Hero Factory is disbanded.

  • Nathaniel Zib - invented a device called a remote reprogrammer, which made the Hero Factory's robotic enemies good. This caused the Hero Factory to disband.

Heroes

After the Hero Factory is disbanded, the Heroes went to find adventure.

Villains

A number of robotic villains got changed by Zib's use of the remote reprogrammer to become good.
