Vapor is a villain who was formerly in the service of Von Nebula.

Biography

At some point, Vapor was built. His life before he became a Villain and how he did so are unknown.

Vapor, who was casually known to be a solo villain, was wanted by the Mekron City police department, run by Hero Factory ally, Chief Drax. The police department placed and offered a reward for his capture.^{[Episode 3]}

Von Nebula

Vapor was hired by Von Nebula to be part of his criminal enterprise, to serve as a distraction for the Heroes.^{[FO:MSG, p. 17]} While on a distant planet, Vapor was challenged by Dunkan Bulk, who had been outfitted with modified equipment to be able to withstand toxic environments. Assisted by a Drop Ship Pilot and William Furno driving his Furno Bike, Bulk took on the villain.^[S!] He was eventually defeated and placed in the Hero Factory Storage Facility.^{[FO:MSG, p. 17]} It is unknown if Bulk, Furno, and the Drop Ship pilot were the ones that captured Vapor.

Breakout

Vapor eventually escaped his jail cell during the Breakout, initiated by Voltix, and went on the loose.^{[Episode 8]} Later, Vapor got recaptured.^[SM4]

Abilities and Traits

Vapor is taller than a 1.0 Hero.

Like many other villains, Vapor enjoys causing chaos and indulging in his criminal activities, primarily theft and property destruction. However, he had no personal stake in Von Nebula's vengeance campaign, and prefers to operate alone.^{[FO:MSG, p. 17]} He is also described by the Hero Factory as a brutal warrior.^[S!]

Weapons and Armor

Vapor carries two Vapor Launchers, which are modified tube-fed Meteor Blasters that fire spheres of corrosive vapor. Each of the Vapor Launchers' tubes connected it to Vapor's back. Each of the Vapor Launchers is surrounded by two claws, and both pairs of claws look different from each other. The Vapor Launcher on Vapor's right hand has a targeting system. Vapor also had a blue blade attached to each of his shoulder armor pieces. His weapons were confiscated when Vapor is jailed.

Vapor's helmet looks like Rotor's.

Set Information

Vapor was released as a part of the Toys "R" Us-Limited Edition boxed set 7179 Bulk & Vapour in the summer of 2010. Of the 89 pieces, Vapor used 71 of its pieces.

Trivia

• While Vapor is the only member of Von Nebula's gang who physically did not appear in the Television Episodes, his picture appears as a "Wanted" poster in Episode 3: The Enemy Within. His prisoner number is 7179, the same as his set number, although the stats used in the poster do not correspond to the stats on box of the set.
• In the title of the set, as well as media outside of the United States, Vapor's name is spelled as "Vapour." The international spelling also carries over to the wanted poster in The Enemy Within.
