Dragon Bolt is an electric male Dragon that had been mutated by a Brain.

Biography

Dragon Bolt is the inhabitant of a dark cave in the middle of a jungle on the Makuhero Planet.

Dragon Bolt in Makuhero City

After the invasion of the Brains, a Brain landed near Dragon Bolt's cave, and after a brief struggle, the dragon was possessed and mutated. Later, Dragon Bolt arrived in Makuhero City and attacked the Alpha 1 Team, who were defending the city from other Brain-controlled creatures, and then flew to the Hero Factory, entering the facility through a hole in the wall by diving into the wall.

The Hero Daniel Rocka followed the dragon, discovering an immense pit created by Dragon Bolt in the process, but the beast ambushed the Hero, who got disarmed by him and then locked himself inside a storage chamber. While Dragon Bolt was destroying various objects in another chamber, including the Furno Bike, Rocka returned with a giant jetpack and attacked the dragon, who then escaped back through another hole created by the fight. Rocka chased Dragon Bolt across Makuhero City, but after a few minutes, the Hero managed to climb on top of the creature and free the dragon from the Brain's grip. After being liberated from the Brain's control, Dragon Bolt ate the Brain in revenge.

After all of the Brains in the city were defeated, Dragon Bolt stayed in Makuhero City's plaza, with three citizen children arriving to observe the massive creature.[Episode 10] The Hero Factory corporation planned to have Nathaniel Zib study the dragon.[FO:MSG] It is unknown if Dragon Bolt returned home afterwards, like his fellow formerly-possessed animals. It is also unknown if more of Dragon Bolt's species got possessed by Brains, and if there were, then they would have been freed by the Heroes.

Abilities and Traits

Before being possessed by a Brain, Dragon Bolt is peaceful and friendly. People in Makuhero City did not see him often or know him well, and several people knew his existence[FO:MSG](Dragon Bolt vs Jet Rocka!) before he came to the city. Dragon Bolt can be encased with electricity, and exhale electric fireballs to defend himself. He has wings that allow him to fly. He is around as large as an XL Hero, and his mouth is large enough to eat a Brain in one bite. He is larger and more powerful from the other species in the Makuhero Planet.[TBW] He is around as large as an XL Hero.

When Dragon Bolt was possessed and mutated by the Brain, he became fiercely hostile. The transformation granted him massive storm wings and spiked armor. Dragon Bolt became almost immune to pain.[FO:MSG] His head also got enlarged when his Brain mutated him. He also gained the ability to make his eyes glow in the dark.(Dragon Bolt vs Jet Rocka!) He was so powerful that he could crash through the Hero Factory's wall. After Dragon Bolt's Brain was removed, he changed back to his normal form and behavior.

Weapons

Dragon Bolt possesses a strong tail that possibly could injure a Hero if hit by it. The tip of the tail has a yellow pincer. Dragon Bolt also has very sharp teeth and claws, as well as two horns.

Set Information

Set 44009 Dragon Bolt

Set 44009 Dragon Bolt, which is large, was released in late 2013, as part of the second wave of the Brain Attack series.[Foil Pack] It contains a two-colored glow-in-the-dark Brain, and a Hero Core, which is not used in the set, but instead to be used in the Brain Attack online game. Dragon Bolt has a red button on his back that can flap his wings when being pressed. The Dragon Bolt set can be combined with 44008 Surge, depicting the Hero that Dragon Bolt never fought in the story, to create a non-canon combination model, and the building instructions for the combiner model were found in HeroFactory.com.

Trivia

  • Dragon Bolt was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker in Episode 10: Brain Attack.
  • In Episode 10, Dragon Bolt's tail and wings have more pieces than the set's, making them longer and wider. Also, his lower jaw has more teeth.
  • In Dragon Bolt's Lego.com description, his tail has razor-sharp spikes, but in the Brain Attack episode, his tail has a pincer, which is not sharp, instead.
