Biography

Aquagon

Aquagon was formerly a peaceful and friendly fish-like and ape-like creature that lived in the seas in the Makuhero Planet. After the invasion of the Brains, he noticed one of them's rocket, which landed on the sea floor and was electrified, so he went to investigate it. One of the Brains came out of a nearby kelp forest, behind Aquagon, and possessed and mutated by him into a dangerous sea monster.

After being mutated, Aquagon and his fellow Brain-possessed members of his species attacked the water system of Makuhero City in an effort to destroy the city. William Furno sent Nathan Evo to the water circuit to defend the city's sewers from the sea creatures' attack. Evo was chased by the sea creatures in the service channels, but Evo managed to fend them off using his Vortex Staff. Evo fought Aquagon and many of his fellow Brain-possessed members of his species.[TBW] The sea creatures kept chasing Evo through the channels. After the Hero was contacted by Dunkan Bulk, informing him of a way to disable the Brains, Evo managed to free the sea creatures from the Brains while Aquagon was freed from his Brain. While Evo returned to the surface, Aquagon and his fellow members of his species returned to their habitat in the ocean.[Episode 10]

Abilities and Traits

Before being possessed by a Brain, Aquagon is a peaceful, friendly, and shy sea creature. He usually hides behind a coral reef. He is so timid that he is even scared of the other ocean creatures, like fish.[BA!][TBW] He is amphibious, so he can breathe both air and underwater.[Episode 10][TBW] He can jump very high from the water and land on a flat surface. He has clawed feet, a tiny spike on each of his upper arms, and blade-like fins for hands. He is around as tall as Nathan Evo's Brain Attack form.

After he got possessed and mutated by a Brain, Aquagon was transformed into a dangerous and vicious monster. His appearance looked like that of an aquatic goblin. He also possessed a small stinging tentacle on each of his ankles, and a large spike on each of his shoulders. After Aquagon's Brain got removed, he changed back to his normal form and behavior.

Weapons

After Aquagon got possessed and mutated by the Brain, he wielded a Dual Sword Staff, which appeared when he got mutated. The staff could be split into two ultra-sharp blades called the Sea Blades.[BA!] After his mutation is undone, the staff disappeared.

Set Information

Aquagon in set form

Set 44013 AQUAGON, which is small, was released in mid-2013, as part of the Brain Attack series. It consists of 41 pieces, including a dark blue Brain that attaches to its head and a Hero Core not used on the model, but instead printed with a code for use in an online game called Brain Attack to earn 400 game points. Parts from the Aquagon set can be combined with parts from set 44012 EVO to create a non-canon combination model using building instructions from HeroFactory.com.

Trivia

  • Aquagon and his species were voiced by Dee Bradley Baker in Episode 10: Brain Attack.
  • According to the DK Readers book, The Brain Wars, Aquagon was hiding behind a coral reef because he was scared of the other sea creatures. This happened before his Brain possessed him. However, in Episode 10: Brain Attack, he was noticing the Brain's rocket before the Brain possessed him. However, in Face Off: Makuro's Secret Guidebook, "Aquagon" is a codename given by the Hero Factory to distinguish mutated members of his species to normal ones. Thus, it is possible that The Brain Wars is referring to the sea creature with the coral reef, and Face Off: Makuro's Secret Guidebook is referring to the sea creature that noticed the rocket.
