Pyrox is a male Bull Creature that was mutated by a Brain.

Biography

Pyrox

Pyrox was once a diminutive Bull Creature that lives in a very small volcano in the Makuhero Planet. He was enjoying swimming in the lava when the Brains' rockets crashed onto his volcano. He went to investigate it, but upon encountering a Brain, Pyrox was mutated into a fiery minotaur-like monster, and he, along with fellow Brain-possesed members of his kind, went to attack the Hero Factory.

Swarming the streets of Makuhero City, Pyrox and his fellow Brain-possessed members of his kind encountered Heroes who were in the city and fought them. During the fight, Pyrox and many of his fellow Brain-possessed bulls fought William Furno.^[TBW] The Heroes eventually removed his Brain, freeing him from the Brain's control, and his mutation was reversed as a result. Pyrox returned to his fiery homeland.^{[Episode 10]}

Abilities and Traits

Like Pyrox's kind, before being possessed by a Brain, he is peaceful, friendly, and very gentle.^[BA!] He is quadrupedal, though he can stand in two hind legs. He has two horns and rock-hard lava shoulder armor. He can swim in lava. He can cough up black smoke. He can make his body super-hot.^[TBW] He and his kind are larger than Daniel Rocka, Dunkan Bulk, Natalie Breez, and Nathan Evo's Brain Attack forms, and are around as large as Preston Stormer and Mark Surge's Brain Attack forms.

After being possessed by a Brain, Pyrox was described as a ferocious creature with a battle-ready temperament. He looked like a minotaur. He had mismatched thighs. He gained two red spikes on his right thigh and five spikes on his chin. His horns got enlarged. He was strong enough to carry Furno's XL Brain Attack form.^{[Episode 10]} After Pyrox's Brain got removed, he changed back to his normal form and behavior.

Weapons

Pyrox carried a Rotating Flame Staff, which appeared when he was mutated. The staff could spin its blades, and shoot fire and lava. His right hand held the staff. His left hand gained razor-sharp fire claws and two red spikes. The claws, hand spikes, and staff disappeared when he reverted.

Set Information

Set 44001 Pyrox

Set 44001 PYROX, which is medium-sized, was released in early 2013, in the Hero Factory's Brain Attack line. It includes 50 pieces, including one yellow Brain that attaches to his head, a printed piece on its left thigh, and a Hero Core that, while not used in the set, contributes to 600 game points in the Brain Attack online game. It can be combined with set 44000 FURNO XL to form a non-canon combination model using instructions found in HeroFactory.com.

Trivia

• Pyrox and his species were voiced by Dee Bradley Baker in Episode 10: Brain Attack.
• In Face Off: Makuro's Secret Guidebook, "Pyrox" is a codename given by the Hero Factory to distinguish mutated members of his species to normal ones.
• According to a DK Readers book, Brain Attack!, Pyrox can shoot flames from his arm cannons. According to another DK Readers book, The Brain Wars, he can shoot flames from his arms. However, these facts are not shown, so they are not canon.
