Attack on Makuhero City

In a laboratory on a rocky gray planet, multiple Brains are being loaded into space crafts while an unidentified villain, in possession of Hero Factory's plans acquired by Black Phantom, observes and launches the Brains into space in order to destroy the Hero Factory.

Meanwhile, Dunkan Bulk, William Furno, and Preston Stormer are in a park of Makuhero City in dedication of a memorial built for six members of the Alpha 1 Team. Daniela Capricorn approaches Furno, and asks the Hero about Mission: Catch 'Em and Cuff 'Em's status, with Furno replying that the mission is going great and he and the Heroes will not rest until they recapture the rest of the villains in the mission. Mark Surge uses his hands to electrically charge a truck. He and Natalie Breez then are giving out autographs while Surge expresses his disdain for dealing with citizens, despite Breez telling him to get used to it. Nathan Evo is playing Roboball with some other attendees.

In space, the Brains speed toward Makuhero City's planet. Two of them crash down near two green ogres. One Brain leaves its ship and jumps on one of the ogres' head, turning it into Ogrum. At the same time, in a desert area, a Brain jumps on a Dune Crawler and transforms it into Scarox. Many yeti-like creatures are transformed into Frost Beasts. A bull-like creature is transformed into Pyrox by a Brain. A rock creature, looking for food, is transformed into Bruizer by a Brain hiding under a rock. A Brain lands underwater and transforms a sea creature into Aquagon, who swims to Makuhero City. A lone Brain walks into a dark cave inhabited by a giant monster. Blue flashes of struggle are seen, followed by red eyes and a menacing roar.

As Furno, Evo, and Daniel Rocka pose for pictures, the Heroes receive an alert on their visors, and rush to Hero Factory. At Mission Control, Professor Nathaniel Zib informs the team that destruction has been reported all over the planet and that an army of creatures are heading from different areas to the city. Quadal is overwhelmed by the large number of the incoming villains, and Surge leads the Heroes to the Assembly Tower where they are upgraded with new equipment in order to defend the city. The seven Heroes go outside the Factory and witness the city under attack. Furno, who got an XL form, directs other Hero teams to guard certain areas, while Evo is sent to the service canals which were being overrun. Surge is left to guard the entrance to the Hero Factory, much to his annoyance.

Breez, Stormer, Furno, Rocka, and Bulk arrive to the streets and observe multiple citizens fleeing from an army of the Brain-controlled monsters. Rocka notices something on top of the creatures. Furno suggests that they should not hurt the creatures.

Capricorn and her camera robot stay in the streets, reporting live news while narrowly being attacked by Pyrox, two Dune Crawlers, and Frost Beast, but are saved by the Heroes. A Brain jumps on her camera robot. Capricorn tries to smack the Brain off her camera robot, but they are chased by more Brains, ending the recording.

In the service canals, Evo flees from Aquagon's species and signals Zib to ask about how many creatures are there. When another member of Aquagon's species comes in front of Evo, Evo grabs and throws the creature to the others. He then uses his Tornado Staff to push the creatures away. Evo thanks Zib for giving him the Tornado Staff. Zib warns Evo that there are still thousands of creatures attacking the city. Furno uses his shield to deflect fire from Pyrox, as Stormer duels Frost Beast, but Stormer states that he and his fellow Heroes will tire out. Bulk fights two rock giants while Stormer while two Dune Crawlers and Ogrum attack Breez. Ogrum wraps Breez in vines as Scarox jumps on top of her, ready to bite her, but she cuts the vines, pushes Scarox out of the way, and ties up Ogrum.

Surge defends Hero Factory from Brain-infected creatures, but one Brain climbs to his shoulder and attacked him. Surge uses his Lightning Blades to shake the Brain off, but he accidentally shocks himself along the way. More Brains surround Surge and Zib loses his signal. Zib contacts Furno and asks him if he can see Surge, but Furno states that he cannot find Surge when he is busy fighting the Brain-possessed creatures.

Bulk knocks Bruizer's Brain off by hitting the Brain's red spikes, and Bruizer hugs Bulk in gratitude. After Bruizer leaves, Bulk tells his Alpha 1 teammates about the Brains' weak spot being the spikes. Evo frees Aquagon's species while his Alpha 1 teammates in the streets attack the Brains, freeing the monsters from their grips.

While the Heroes are celebrating their victory, Dragon Bolt, a large Dragon possessed by a Brain and the very monster from the cave, arrives over Makuhero City and begins attacking Alpha 1 before flying away. Zib finds Surge in the Assembly Tower as Dragon Bolt dives into Hero Factory itself, smashing through the building's wall. Rocka pursues the Dragon, while the rest of the Heroes enter the Hero Factory and discover an army of mindless drones called Blank Heroes, programmed to attack the Alpha 1 Team. As the Heroes wonder who programmed the drones, a Brain-controlled Surge appears behind the rest of the Blank Heroes. Furno tries to reason with the controlled Surge, but Surge retreats, and the drones attack the team.

Elsewhere, Rocka searches for Dragon Bolt, discovering a massive pit in the Hero Factory's storage bay. Dragon Bolt ambushes Rocka with his tail, and after attacking him with electric fireballs, Rocka flees and locks himself inside a storage room before Dragon Bolt can strike him with his tail. He finds a machine and develops a plan.

Alpha 1 continues to battle the Blank Heroes, and Stormer sees Surge authorizing the creation of more drones, trying to destroy the Hero Factory. Furno orders Breez to take down Surge, and she manages to reach him.

While Dragon Bolt is wandering around his room, Rocka equips himself with the machine, which is a large jetpack, and uses it to chase Dragon Bolt out of the Hero Factory.

Breez stops Surge from making more Blank Heroes. Surge starts attacking her.

Rocka chases the dragon through the city. During the time, Capricorn witnesses the fight.(Dragon Bolt vs Jet Rocka!)

Breez tries to talk Surge out of his Brain's control, but Surge cannot hear her.

Dragon Bolt disappears, and Rocka is trying to look for him. However, Dragon Bolt ambushes Rocka from below, so Rocka flies put of the way to avoid the attack. Rocka jumps out of the booster pack and lands on top of Dragon Bolt, knocking the Brain off him. Dragon Bolt eats the Brain in one bite in revenge for controlling him.

Breez manages to knock Surge's Brain off, and Surge deactivates the Blank Hero army. Zib reports to the other Heroes that the other Heroes defeated the Brains in Makuhero City. The Alpha 1 Team members go back to help the citizens while Rocka lets three children observe Dragon Bolt. While Surge is helping the citizens, he finds value in working with the people he serves.

After everything is back to normal, two workers are lowered into the massive hole in the ground Dragon Bolt created while he was inside Hero Factory. While joking, they find green goo on the ground, and are ambushed by a swarm of Brains that jump at them.[Episode 10]

Collision Course

The new ship, the Valiant, is speeding through deep space on its maiden voyage, three days after leaving its space dock. Its captain, Aquax, uses the ship to patrol the deep space frontier in places Heroes do not normally go. The chief science technician, Xera, detects a very strange sight floating in space, an array of floating Brains.

At the Hero Factory, Natalie Breez finds Daniel Rocka working on the sensors in the Hero Factory's auxiliary control room, feeling annoyed that she had a hard time finding him, and brings him to a meeting by Preston Stormer. After the Alpha 1 Team except Jimi Stringer, who is busy with an ongoing mission, comes to the meeting, Stormer discusses the status of Mission: Catch 'Em and Cuff 'Em. The major villains are recaptured and law enforcement is scooping up the minor ones. Also, William Furno and Dunkan Bulk have reviewed the prison's security, so a breakout would not happen again. Stormer assigns his fellow Alpha 1 Team members to double their training to get ready for tougher challenges, much to his fellow Heroes' chagrins. After Rocka's sensors glitch, Stormer gives him a lecture and tells him to wait until Stringer arrives from his mission.

Xera wants to bring one of the Brains on board the Valiant, but Aquax and Kirch, the security chief, do not allow it. Despite this, Xera takes a shuttlecraft out into the Brain swarm. Aquax notices Xera heading to the Brains, and tells him to return to the Valiant.

Furno stops Breez from doing a hard training exercise that involve rocket-powered hunks of steel called Rammers alone. Breez explains that she was doing this because she wants to be good enough to be a Hero. Furno cheers her up and advises her to go ask to Stormer for a mission to help herself. Stormer has Breez monitor deep space frequencies. She then picks up Aquax telling Xera to return to the Valiant.

Despite Aquax's rage, Xera captures one of the Brains by putting it in a vacuum jar, and arrives back to the Valiant with it. Kirch wants to apprehend Xera, but Aquax stops him. Xera has Aquax, who is thinking about punishing Xera for his disobedience, let him study the Brain while Kirch guards it.

Breez tells Stormer about the transmission from Aquax. Stormer remembers his times with Aquax, who is his old friend that he has known since the early days of the Hero Factory. Stormer becomes aware that Aquax became the captain of the Valiant and worried about him and his crew facing something. Stormer calls Breez and Rocka to have them do a mission for them.

While Xera is studying the Brain, Kirch threatens Xera by grabbing him because of his foolishness, but Xera threatens him back to make him let go of him. After Xera leaves to get supplies, Kirch believes that the Brain could be hostile, so he shoots at it to secretly try to destroy it, but this frees the Brain from its containment by destroying the containment when the Brain jumps out of the way, and the Brain attaches itself to Kirch's head. Kirch has now become a host for the Brain, who is the swarm's leader. He lets the Brains infest the ship. Aquax goes to get Xera's help.

Stormer assigns Breez and Rocka to do a scouting mission in the Valiant. Furno gets a distress call from the Valiant about its crew there being attacked by aliens, and notifies Stormer about it. The Brains take control of many of the crew members. Breez and Rocka are equipped with new tools and personal rocket packs, the latter being made by Rocka. They start their mission by using the rocket packs to get to the Valiant.

Three hours later, at Hero Factory, Furno notices the monitors showing the Valiant moving at excessive speed straight for Hero Factory, setting a collision course that could destroy the Hero Factory along with Makuhero City. Furno tells Stormer about this, and Bulk overhears them talking about it and joins their conversation. The ship seems unstoppable, so Bulk comes up with a plan to destroy it, and Furno agrees with this, despite it costing Rocka and Breez's lives. Stormer refuses and then goes to use his own rocket pack to get to the Valiant himself because he is concerned about Aquax. Stormer assigns Bulk to be in charge of their team until Stormer gets back. Stormer also tells Bulk to tell Furno to keep on trying to contact Stringer because Stringer is radio slient for too long. Bulk wants Stormer to admit that Stormer is worried about Aquax, but Stormer ignores Bulk and tells him to destroy the Valiant if Stormer, Breez, and Rocka cannot stop it when it gets near the city.

Breez and Rocka make it to the Valiant. Rocka uses a small device called a Laser Torch to cut a hole in the ship's airlock, but the ship has a self-sealing hull, which starts to close up the hole. He and Breez go through the hole, having boarded inside the ship, before the hole completely closes. Rocka unlocks two more airlocks, allowing the two Heroes to enter the ship's middle deck while the hole makes the ship sound an alarm. The Heroes notice that despite the alarm being sounded, no damage control team comes there to check on it, and the alarm stops after the Heroes entered the middle deck.

Stormer contacts Aquax and lies to him that the Valiant had not been boarded. Stormer notices that Aquax sounded cordial and forgot crucial details of a story of his and Stormer's past. Meanwhile, Aquax, who is possessed by a Brain, tells Kirch about Stormer knowing about the Brains in the ship, which would let the Hero Factory know about it, so the Hero Factory woll muster defenses in Makuhero City. Aquax notices Breez and Rocka making a hull breach to get into the Valiant. Kirch tells Aquax that they will let the Heroes get in the ship, and then the swarm will possess them.

Rocka discovers that the ship is blocking signals between it and the Hero Factory. Breez breaks into the Valiant computer system. She detects more organic lifeforms than active robots. Rocka tells Breez to go to the ship's bridge and learn what is going on here. Rocka says he will go to engineering and try to stop the ship. The two Heroes split up. On Breez's way, she tries to pull an electrified grate loose to get it out of the way, but she gets jolted by the grate, knocking her unconscious.

Without Stormer, Bulk makes the call to send thirteen Drop Ships, including Nathan Evo's, to destroy the Valiant, as Bulk notices the Valiant not stopping and it ramming into an unmanned freighter to destroy it on the way, and even if it would mean destroying his teammates in the Valiant. Bulk gives the orders, and then leaves Furno to write his resignation, much to his and Furno's sadness, and Furno's shock.

Rocka goes to the auxiliary control room and starts disabling the door with an auxiliary control system when a Brain sneaks up on him.

Breez wakes up and meets Xera, who found her. Xera tells her of the Brains, and is on the run. He deactivates the electricified grate to allow Breez to head to one of the Valiant's ventilator shafts to get to the bridge. Breez enters the ventilator shaft.

Rocka finishes disabling the door and then unintentionally dodges the Brain that is after him. He fights it and its group of Brains. He defeats the first wave, but the second wave shows up, and Rocka decides to run to avoid wasting time. He runs to engineering. Meanwhile, the ship's navigator, also possessed by a Brain, detects the Breez and Rocka's new locations in the ship, and tells Kirch and Aquax this. The navigator also notices Stormer, so Kirch has the Valiant attack Stormer.

Meanwhile, Evo is shocked that Bulk told him to destroy the Valiant. He does not want to do this because it would cost Stormer, Breez, and Rocka's lives, but he and his group of Heroes who are driving the Drop Ships have to do the command, much to Evo's sadness. The Heroes head to the Valiant.

Stormer comes under fire from Kirch on the Valiant, but uses meteoroids to block his electronic signal since the meteoroids have metal that can do this. Meanwhile, the Brain-possessed Valiant crew cannot find Stormer at first, but Aquax deduces that Stormer is using the meteoroids to hide, so Kirch commands has the Valiant destroy the meteoroids in order to find and destroy Stormer.

Breez finds and fights a Brain in the vents. She uses an electricified grate to defeat it.

Rocka fights and defeats two Brain-possessed guards who are guarding the main engineering center. He enters the room. Kirch also goes there to deal with Rocka, and instructs Aquax to keep firing upon Stormer. Rocka fights against twenty Brain-controlled crew members in the engineering deck. He threatens to destroy a computer console in the room to make the ship explode, but Kirch arrives and tells Rocka that he and his comrades had rerouted the room's power to the auxiliary control room right after Rocka left the auxiliary control room. Kirch uses a little bit of power in the engineering to knock Rocka unconscious, capturing him.

Breez goes to the Valiant's hangar bay, where a hundred crew members that are not possessed by Brains are sleeping because of the room's dampening field. The field makes her slowly go to sleep, so she goes to a flashing button on the opposite wall in the room, hoping that can turn off the field.

Meanwhile, Aquax disobeys Kirch and lets Stormer board to gain credit for bringing the legendary Hero under the swarm's thrall. Managing to shut down the Valiant's hangar bay's dampening field, Breez frees the crew members there. She tells two of them to use two shuttlecraft to get out of the Valiant and warn the Hero Factory about the Brains while she tells the other crew members to go get weapons from the Valiant armory and fight the Brains. Breez notices Stormer getting inside the Valiant and meets him, who is exhausted from his trip to the ship, before they are confronted by Aquax and two Brains. Aquax reveals his plan to have his Brain comrades possess the Heroes.

Evo and his group of Heroes notice the two non-possessed crew members in their shuttlecraft, but Evo and six of the Drop Ships' Heroes confuse them to be enemies.

Rocka promises Kirch that he cannot win the fight. Kirch becomes aware that the non-possessed crew members are freed and Stormer is in the Valiant. He tells Stormer through the ship's communication system that he has Rocka hostage. He tries to tell Aquax to stop his attack, but Aquax refuses because he believes he is doing what is best for the swarm's mission. Xera knocks Aquax and his two Brain comrades unconscious from behind, saving Stormer and Breez. Stormer threatens Kirch before Stormer, Breez, and Xera go find and save Rocka.

Evo and his group of Heroes attack the crew members who are piloting the shuttlecraft, but the crew members clarify with the Heroes that they are not enemies and warns them about the Brains, and then Evo tells Furno and Bulk about it. Furno and Bulk tell him a new plan, where Evo and his group of Heroes use their Drop Ships' tractor beams to slow down the Valiant. Furno and Bulk go to get a Drop Ship from the Hero Factory's repair dock to go to the Valiant to help their friends there fight the Brains.

While Stormer, Breez, and Xera are heading to the auxiliary control room, Stormer and Breez state their plan to use the room to take back the ship rather than finding Rocka in the engineering deck first. However, Xera betrays Stormer and Breez by knocking Stormer unconscious and threatening to destroy both Heroes. He explains his secret alliance with the Brains since they went inside the Valiant and he is going to be their representative. He notices Breez waiting for Stormer to get up and still wants to destroy them both, but Breez defeats him.

After ten of the twenty Brain-possessed crew members that Rocka fought in the engineering room go to defend the auxiliary control room from Stormer and Breez, Rocka frees himself and defeats the other ten crew members, but Kirch captures him again and is about to use his laser weapon to destroy him when the Valiant is captured by Evo and his group of Heroes through the use of their six Drop Ships' tractor beams. Kirch goes to the bridge, unintentionally sparing Rocka, and begins using the Valiant to attack the Drop Ships.

Stormer and Breez fight their way to the auxiliary control room. After the two Heroes find the room, Stormer tells Breez that she needs to think about strategy when she fights. Breez gets angry with Stormer at first, but Stormer says that he is already impressed with her efforts, enlightening her. When Stormer notices the Valiant attacking the Drops Ships, he has Breez go to the command center and stop the attack. Despite the Valiant having disabled two of the Drop Ships, its starboard side gets hit by one of the other Drop Ships, and Stormer uses the auxiliary control room to disable the ship's helm and communication system. Bulk and Furno arrive at the bridge to fight Kirch and his crew and save their friends. However, Kirch wants to have a talk with Stormer and the other Heroes.

Stormer and Breez reunite with Bulk and Furno while Rocka goes to the auxiliary control. The Valiant has been brought to a stop. Kirch and the four Heroes argue about how to finish their fight. When Kirch refuses to stop doing his plan, Stormer has Rocka direct the Valiant to Makuhero City's star system's star, which can incinerate everyone in the ship, including the Heroes themselves. This forces Kirch to have all of the Brains assemble at the hangar bay and separate themselves from their hosts.

All of the Brains are assembled. Stormer tells Rocka to decrease the ship's speed to give the Brains time to do what they need to do before they will leave the ship. However, Rocka discovers that he cannot decrease the ship's speed, which is increasing instead, and he cannot change course. Kirch reveals that he had prepared for his defeat by having a safeguard installed in the ship, so it cannot be controlled. Kirch promises Stormer that they will meet again. All of the Brains leave their hosts, releasing them from their control, and exit the ship. However, they get vaporized by the heat of the star.

The heroes and Aquax start working together to stop the ship from heading towards the sun. Bulk destroys the Valiant's engines by punching them to stop it. Using Galedanium, explosives in the ship, Furno and Breez deploy them in front of the Valiant, sending it away from the sun.

The Heroes and the Valiant crew are rescued by Heroes in the remaining Drop Ships, many more Drop Ships, and space vessels from the frontier worlds. They are taken to the Hero Factory for repair work and rest. The Valiant is badly damaged, so it is getting repaired. Aquax is personally told by Akiyama Makuro that the Hero Factory would station Heroes on the frontier to protect those worlds. The members of the Valiant crew go back to their home worlds. Aquax tells Stormer to promise him and his crew that he will find the one who sent the Brains and defeat the culprit.

Stormer refuses to accept Bulk's resignation. Despite Bulk having disobeyed Stormer's orders, Stormer states that Bulk did the right thing because Stormer's friendship with Aquax had clouded his judgement. Stormer tells Bulk that the Valiant was likely just an opportunity the Brains took, not their true plan. He then guesses that the Brains would be seen again. Meanwhile, Breez is training in the training room again, but with Rocka controlling it this time. Breez is upset about Xera fooling her, but Rocka cheers her up. Rocka is thinking about more Brains possibly coming to fight the Heroes on their next mission. Breez tells Rocka to help her train for it, though Rocka is uncertain if they can be ready for the Brains.[SM3]

Robot Rampage

Jimi Stringer is chased through Tranquis VII while all modes of transports in the planet, including his Drop Ship, became unusable for him to use to escape. He goes inside a working communications tower and barely manages to send a message to William Furno in Hero Factory before he is cut off because of something attacking him. Furno alerts the Hero Factory about Stringer being in trouble.

Preston Stormer, Dunkan Bulk, and Furno talk about Stringer's mission to investigate Tranquis VII's downed communications. Furno is getting impatient because he wants to save Stringer. Bulk says that Daniel Rocka looked over Stringer's message. Stormer sends Bulk and Furno to use a Drop Ship to get to Tranquis VII, find Stringer, and save him. Furno and Bulk find a new prototype Drop Ship in the hangar. Furno wants to drive the ship, but Bulk drives it instead because he does not trust him in doing this due to Furno doing a triple-spin-roll, which tied Bulk's circuits in knots, and crashing a Drop Ship on their planet at one time. Bulk introduces the ship's new features, including its chameleon ability and an electromagnetic pulse emitter. The Heroes use the ship to take off and start flying to Stringer's location.

The two Heroes are flying the ship for most of the day. On their way, they talk about how should the Hero Factory better approach a problem, so the problem would be less hectic than the one in Mission: Collision Course, which happened last week. They are then attacked by pirates who are driving three ships. When the Heroes encounter a massive fully armed battle cruiser piloted by pirates, Stormer tells the two Heroes to focus on saving Stringer, and that he will send Rocka and Nathan Evo to take care of the pirate ships. The cruiser tries to attack the Heroes, but the Heroes get away. Bulk hides behind a moon to escape from the other three pirate ships. He theorizes that since a lot of robots lost their faith in Hero Factory after the Breakout, despite all of the escapees from the Breakout being recaptured, any enemy, like the ones who pilot the four pirate ships, is becoming harder for the Hero Factory to defeat.

When they land outside Tranquis VII's only city called Tranquis, Bulk confirms with Evo that he and Furno landed. The two Heroes proceed into the city while observing strange destruction on it. Digging underground to trail a lone robot, the two get attacked by a group of top-of-the-line security robots called S-12 units. The two Heroes defeat them with Likozite and a flash-bang.

The two scale a building, trying to rest for a night, but are surrounded by robots controlled by Brains, so they flee to a second building.

Meanwhile, Dumacc, a member of an evil group called the Galactic Conspiracy, reviews the security footage of Bulk and Furno attacking the security robots and tells his fellow member, top assistant, and right-hand robot, Karter, to make sure the Heroes will leave and not uncover their secret project called Project Sunstorm.

Bulk and Furno discover that the robots are possessed by Brains, so they decide to find the communications tower to contact Hero Factory for help. The two Heroes find the tower, but they discover that someone damaged the tower's communicating equipment to make it unable to contact anyone. A Brain-controlled Stringer arrives and tells the two Heroes that he and other Brains have captured their Drop Ship while he is responsible for sabotaging the tower. Stringer and twelve other Brain-controlled robots ambush the two Heroes.

Meanwhile, Stormer and Evo become concerned about Furno and Bulk not contacting them since their arrival at Tranquis VII because of radio silence. However, Stormer tells Evo that despite the radio silence, they should not be worried yet.

During Bulk and Furno's fight against the Brains, Bulk notices that Stringer is not half-controlled like the other robots, but Bulk and Furno are about to lose the fight when Karter and more of the security robots save the two Heroes from the Brains, making the Brain retreat. Karter takes the two Heroes into his laboratory in a secret underground laboratory complex, in the city's storm sewer, and explains that a major environmental disaster about a decade ago on the planet had made the robots partially immune to the Brains and that he and his group are investigating the disaster and working on total immunity. The Heroes object to being told to stop doing their activities in Tranquis and to avoid drawing attention to the lab. However, Dumacc appears and has twelve security robots make the Heroes stop refusing. After an argument with Karter, Dumacc forcibly asks the Heroes to be placed in a holding cell or thrown to a large iron-glass cage containing three Brain-possessed robots. The Heroes reluctantly choose the former, and their weapons and shields are taken away by Dumacc's group. Bulk tells Furno about his suspicion on Karter's group, and the two Heroes start to plan to escape their cell.

On the next day, Stringer hatches a plan to get Stormer to bring more Heroes and investigate who the robots that saved Bulk and Furno are.

The Brains successfully take the minds of a group of S-12 units. The leader of the group of the S-12 units manages to warn Karter's group right before one of a Brain takes over his body.

Stormer and Evo receive a call from Stringer through the Drop Ship, who says that more Heroes are needed to crush a rebellion in the planet, but it does not seem in character for Stringer. Stormer looks over Rocka's satellite pictures of Tranquis, which were made by Rocka thirty-six hours ago. Stormer struggles making a plan on how to save Stringer, Bulk, and Furno. He is approached by Nathaniel Zib, who suggests he take more control of the situation. Stormer forms an idea involving the Drop Ship.

After Karter's group is notified by the S-12 robot about his situation, Karter starts transferring all of the project's data to another location. When Dumacc notices Karter doing this, they argue over what to do with the data when the the Brains are certainly now coming after the project. Dumacc tells Karter to erase all of the project's data to protect the project from the Brains, but Karter refuses. He wins the argument by suggesting that all of the data be transferred to another location since the group Karter answers to wants the data intact, and he and Dumacc sacrifice themselves to do the task. Dumacc is shocked to see Karter and the Galactic Conspiracy's true evil nature, so he reforms, leaves his laboratory, and goes to get Bulk and Furno's help to stop Karter and the Brains.

Furno and Bulk stages a jailbreak by attacking two of Karter's guards. When a third guard tries to attack the two Heroes, Dumacc knocks the guard unconscious and tells the other two to leave. He starts helping the Heroes. Dumacc lets them get their weapons and shields back and then desperately instructs them to defend the laboratory. He tells the Heroes about the Galactic Conspiracy, Project Sunstorm, which is a powerful solar storm weapons system that would destroy life and robots on a planet and was responsible for causing the environmental disaster, and their connection to the Valiant. The Heroes tie Dumacc up with cable as punishment for his crimes and because they got tired just watching him. Furno and Bulk find Karter, and then Bulk stops him from transferring Project Sunstorm's data by destroying the data transfer terminal. After the two Heroes capture Karter, Bulk has him draw Brain-controlled robots' attention to him while Furno goes after Stringer. Stormer takes control of Bulk's Drop Ship from afar, scaring off several Brain-possessed robots who were guarding it with an illusion.

Karter lures the Brains to Bulk, and then Bulk ambushes them. Furno and Stringer fight each other. Stringer offers Furno a place in his empire, but Furno refuses and uses Stringer's Hero Cuffs to cuff him, causing Stringer to attempt suicide. However, Stormer saves him with the Drop Ship's tractor beam. Furno punches the Brain off Stringer, freeing Stringer from the Brain, and then defeats the Brain.

Furno and Stringer develop a plan to rig the city's communications tower to create a large electromagnetic pulse that can shut down every robot in the city, preventing the Brains from controlling the robots. The Drop Ship goes to Bulk and Karter, who get inside the ship. The Brains get inside the complex and possess everyone there. Meanwhile, Furno and Stringer set up the electromagnetic pulse on the communications tower and a timer for the electromagnetic pulse. Bulk crashes the ship into the complex's main laboratory's ceiling, damaging the ship. He and Karter see the Brains controlling Dumacc and a dozen security robots. Dumacc plans to use Project Sunstorm to try to destroy Furno and Stringer, even if it means destroying the whole city and would kill hundreds of the Brains who will unintentionally get in the way. While Bulk and Karter are fighting the security robots, Dumacc is activating Project Sunstorm to get it ready to destroy everything on the planet. Furno and Stringer set the timer to 15 minutes, and then arrive to help Bulk and Karter fight and defeat the security robots. Bulk stops Dumacc from using Project Sunstorm, and Stringer shuts the weapon down. The three Heroes and Karter go to a safe room to avoid getting shut down by the electromagnetic pulse. The electromagnetic pulse is activated and shuts down all of the other robots in the city, preventing the Brains from controlling them.

A few hours later, Furno, Bulk, and Stringer get help from Stormer, Rocka, Evo, Natalie Breez, Julius Nex, and a dozen other Heroes to put the Brains in stasis and clean up the mess in the city caused by the Brains while Zib examines Project Sunstorm. Stormer tells Breez that it would take years to repair the city. Bulk notices that Karter is missing. Karter knocks Zib unconscious and destroys the weapon by tearing its wiring out. Bulk finds Karter and notices his actions. Karter tries to reason with Bulk by saying that he does not want the weapon to be in the wrong hands, but Bulk does not listen because Karter is a villain. Karter tries to stab Bulk with a dagger, but Bulk crushes the dagger and arrests Karter.

A week later, back at Hero Factory, Furno, Bulk, Stringer, Stormer, and Zib are at the briefing room, talking about cleaning up the city. Zib reports that Project Sunstorm is dismantled, and Rocka and Evo are preparing a report on its workings. The five friends also state that Project Sunstorm was a project run by the Galactic Conspiracy and that somebody is making and leading the Brains while both evil groups do not have a connection. After Furno, Bulk, and Zib leave the room, Stormer and Stringer talk more about the villains. Declaring the Brains to be the larger threat to take care of first, Stormer shows Stringer the chemical formula for a new Hero Factory technology fuel source, which Zib gave to Stormer yesterday. Meanwhile, Bulk meets Furno on his way to Hero Factory's gym. Furno tells Bulk that they have to get ready to fight the Brains the next time they strike. Bulk reassures him that Heroes would find a way to stop the Brains once and for all. In a Hero Factory prison cell, Karter uses a sophisticated communication device to contact the conspiracy's leaders, who are disappointed in his failure with using Project Sunstorm. Karter tells his employers what happened in his mission, the Hero Factory knowing about the Conspiracy now, and he has infiltrated Hero Factory in a plan to destroy the Hero Factory organization. The Conspiracy leaders trust him and tell him to do his plan before they hang up.[SM4]

Mirror World

In an alternate universe, William Furno attempts to escape custody by evil robot guards/bounty hunters called the Jolters from an evil organization from a building called the Citadel. Using apparently corrupt guards, he makes his way to a purported safe house, but is captured by Voltix, who had engineered the entire ruse and threatens to break Furno's will.

Meanwhile, in the prime universe, Nathan Evo does security check on Dunkan Bulk at a security checkpoint to make sure there is nothing wrong with Bulk, despite Evo feeling uncomfortable in doing the tasks, and much to Bulk's annoyance because Bulk wants to go to a meeting. After Evo finishes the task, he lets Bulk go to the meeting. Bulk meets with his three fellow Alpha 1 Team members, Preston Stormer, William Furno, and Natalie Breez, at the briefing room while Jimi Stringer is busy being debriefed on Mission: Robot Rampage. Stormer tells his fellow Heroes about a new energy source for the Hero Factory technology, which Nathaniel Zib ran calculations on for days, and Stormer's plan to have the other Heroes and himself test the energy source with a generator in the next day.

Karter, who is a member of the Galactic Conspiracy and imprisoned by the Hero Factory corporation for his crimes in Tranquis VII weeks ago, has his bosses send his nervous old contact and fellow member of the conspiracy, Perjast, to come meet Karter at the Hero Factory building's prison's visiting area. When Perjast visits Karter, the Heroes are watching the two and want to hear their conversation. Perjast gives Karter a scrambler unit to hide their conversation. Karter tells him to smuggle in a device to help Karter with his plan to destroy the Hero Factory. The conspiracy remotely disables Perjast, making him mostly inactive, and then the Hero Factory retrieves him. While the Hero Factory's technicians are examining Perjast's body and he is slowly powering up because his condition is temporary, the technicians unintentionally expose a solid-light hologram generator hidden in his circuitry. This gives Karter an opportunity to secretly and quickly recover the device from Perjast's body before he goes back to his cell since security in the prison became tighter after the Breakout, which happened months ago. Karter uses the hologram generator to rearrange the Heroes' power generator's beta and zed circuits in the Hero Factory's testing chamber, sabotaging the power generator without making it look sabotaged.

On the next day, the four Heroes go to guard and test the power generator, which looks fine to them, and Stormer activates it to test the new energy source. However, due to Karter's sabotage, it rapidly goes out of control. Furno tries to stop the energy from overloading, but the sabotage prevents him from doing it. Stormer has everyone in the Hero Factory building evacuate it. He then tells his teammates to keep the testing chamber closed to prevent the generator's energy from possibly spreading across the Hero Factory, so the Heroes are forced to sacrifice themselves to do so. A beam of blinding light from the generator knocks them unconscious.

The Heroes wake up in a deserted warehouse, in a deserted warehouse district, that night. After Breez realizes she and her fellow Heroes had been spatially displaced, the Heroes get out of the warehouse and notice the warehouse district. They then notice a robot attacker robbing a robot person of a box of tools. After the Heroes stop the robber, the robber and the victim look at the Heroes as lawbreakers, confusing them. Bulk realizes they are at the same coordinates as they were before, as they believe they are in Makuhero City because of its constellations. The four Heroes want to learn about the strange new changes in the city, so they go to Makuhero University, which is mysteriously renamed "Von Nebula University." The Heroes ask a female small, thin, clerk robot called L-22 from the university to help them learn about the city's history, and she suggests using a device called a Histotron to do so. When Stormer uses the device, which looks different from the one the Heroes know, and gets his answers from it, he tells his fellow Heroes to leave the university. Stormer then tells them that they are in the alternate universe, where there is no Hero Factory, and Makuhero City was renamed "Von Nebula City." Stormer tells the Heroes that they have to find a way back to their universe.

L-22 reads the Histotron and learns from it that one of the Heroes who used it is Preston Stormer and was looking for Hero Factory. She calls a member of the Citadel's inner circle, Speeda Demon, and reports this to him, but Speeda Demon believes that she is misusing the call, so he orders her to leave the university and go to a destruction booth to get destroyed, and he tells her that L-23 will take her job. After L-22 leaves, the report makes Speeda Demon remember the time when Akiyama Makuro founded the Hero Factory, Von Ness betraying Hero Factory to Black Phantom in Hero Factory's early days by giving him the Hero Factory plans, and Black Phantom and the Legion of Darkness destroying the Hero Factory. Von Ness became a villain called Von Nebula and took over the gangs. Speeda Demon told people for years that he had deactivated Makuro and Makuro disappeared since. Now, Speeda Demon gets so curious about the report that he gives it to Von Nebula, who is in the darkness of his room. This makes Von Nebula order him to get L-22 and give her to him. Speeda Demon saves L-22 from her destruction in a destruction booth near the university. Von Nebula remembers how he became the leader of the Citadel, a vast empire of villainous planets in much of the galaxy, and Makuhero City, and changed the city's name to Von Nebula City. He created laws where heroism is punished, and crime and power are honored. After Speeda Demon gives L-22 to Von Nebula, L-22 tells Von Nebula the report and describes the Heroes. Von Nebula feels so angry to hear about Stormer that he shows himself in the light, revealing his distorted body. His body got distorted when he tried to combine it with his staff called the Black Hole Orb Staff's gravity power, making him look grotesque. L-22 asks Von Nebula about what happened, and Von Nebula replies that "Stormer happened."

Meanwhile, the prime reality Alpha 1 Team Heroes, who are using an abandoned building near the Citadel as a temporary base, come up with a plan to meet Von Nebula and see if the universe has its own version of the generator, as they theorize that the Citadel may have it. On the next night, after a Citadel inner circle member, Splitface, and his henchbots, rob the Von Nebula Stadium of a security pouch of money, the Heroes attack the villains by defeating Splitface's gang and stealing the pouch from Splitface while the Heroes are pretending to be a new gang of villains. The Heroes get away. Then, when another Citadel inner circle member, Jawblade, is about to rob a pleasure cruise, the Heroes attack and capture him, stopping him from robbing a cruise by lying to him that they already robbed it. The Heroes get away again and leave Jawblade behind. On the next two days, when the Heroes attack more villains, thwart their crimes, and get away from the villains, this gets the Citadel's attention, angering them. Von Nebula learns that these robots are the ones that L-22 saw, sparing her life and giving her a job as promised, and remembers his Stormer causing Von Nebula's distortion and his own, and then Stormer disappearing since. Von Nebula becomes curious about the prime reality Heroes, so he wants negotiations with them. He sends a member of the Citadel's inner circle, XT4, to find them and deliver the message. In the afternoon, XT4 steals a shipment of protean space gems in the center of Von Nebula City, which gets the four Heroes' attention. XT4 tells them the message, and then Stormer tells him to tell Von Nebula that he and his team want a meeting with him and the Citadel's inner circle inside there. XT4 leaves.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the galaxy, not in Von Nebula City's sensor array's range, the Brains, who are flying in outer space, sense the presence of the prime reality Heroes. They learn who they are, so they start to investigate in order to find a way to conquer the Heroes' galaxy.

Thirty-six hours later, in Von Nebula City, the Heroes notice Jawblade, bound in chains in a large water tank, showing that the Citadel wishes to meet the Heroes at their place. The Heroes go to the Citadel while a group of Jolters is shocked to see Furno as his alternate reality counterpart is still in prison. The Heroes meet six members of the Citadel's inner circle, who are Von Nebula, Speeda Demon, XT4, Black Phantom, Toxic Reapa, and Core Hunter. Stormer lies to the villains that he demands Von Nebula to hand the Citadel to the Heroes. During the two groups' conversation, Von Nebula is shocked to see Stormer, so he ends the conversation and has a small group of Jolters imprison the Heroes, so he will interrogate them. However, the Heroes defeat the Jolters. They plan a breakout for the Heroes in the Citadel's prison. They first free the alternate reality William, who does not trust the prime realty Heroes at first, but Furno frustratingly convinces him to be free from the prison and help them free the other prisoners. William accepts his counterpart's words and starts helping him and his fellow prime reality Heroes. The five Heroes free all of the prisoners. Meanwhile, Voltix, who is a member of the inner circle, notices the breakout and is about to summon all reserve guards to stop the prisoners and their liberators when he gets notified by one of the Citadel's technicians about the Brains coming.

Meanwhile, Stormer convinces the former prisoners to fight the Citadel. The prime reality Heroes hear Voltix announcing to the Citadel about the invasion of the Brains on the city. The Heroes use security cameras to see what is going on outside of the prison. The Brains reveal to be different from the ones in the prime reality by being larger, having wings, and being able to shoot devastating mental blasts. The alternate reality Brains attack and knock Splitface and a fellow member of the inner circle, Thornraxx, unconscious to get them out of the way. While the prisoners are fighting the Jolters, Breez notices that the Brains are not focused on controlling the city's residents. Two of the Brains meet Von Nebula. The Brains have the ability to communicate telepathically, so Von Nebula asks them what do they want in order to convince them to stop the invasion. The Brains tell him that they seek the prime reality Heroes and information from them. Von Nebula makes a deal with them where he wants information from one of the Heroes as well. So, the Brains and Von Nebula ally with each other. The invasion stops. Alpha Team goes to the upper floors to see why. They notice the Brains having allied with Von Nebula. The Brains sense, find, and knock the Heroes unconscious. They want to cancel their bargain with Von Nebula since they have the Heroes, but he forcefully convinces the Brains to keep it. One of the Brains tells Von Nebula that when it is done getting the information from one of the Heroes, there may be a little left in the Hero's mind.

Von Nebula takes away the Heroes' equipment and has them imprisoned. He then has one of the Brains read Stormer's mind. While the Brain is reading his mind, Stormer learns about what the Brains are. The Brains are radically different from the ones from the main universe. Instead of being created, they evolved naturally. They are nomadic warriors who conquered several worlds, and are interested in causing destruction in wherever they go rather than ruling over others. They cannot control beings' minds for an indefinite time, as their hosts burn out quickly. The Brains search for technology to manufacture robotic bodies that do not have minds of their own and they would use as new bodies and to eliminate their weakness of being organic. The Brains would then use the robotic bodies to make and use battle machines. However, the technology was not present in their universe. The Brains learn of Hero Factory, which they see as a way to become unstoppable. They plan to use the alternate reality's generator to get to the prime reality to conquer Stormer's galaxy. After Stormer's Brain read his mind, Stormer's mind is intact, and he tricks the Brains and Von Nebula into thinking that the Brain that read his mind made him mindless. The Brain tells Von Nebula about who the prime reality Stormer really is and his Von Nebula not being a ruler or distorted like the alternate reality Von Nebula. The alternate reality Von Nebula becomes worried about the possibility of the counterpart following his Stormer in the alternate universe and overthrowing the alternate reality Von Nebula. The Brains tell the alternate reality Von Nebula to lead them to the generator, which he and his fellow inner circle members are using to test their power source, making Von Nebula deduce that the prime reality's generator is how the prime reality Heroes got in his universe. Von Nebula tells the Brains that he will have to complete his generator first and warns them that using it now could mean their destruction if it is not completed. The Brains know that Stormer does not know how to use the generator for trans-dimensional travel, so they agree to let Von Nebula complete the generator, so he can make it work.

Von Nebula has the Jolters deliver Stormer back to his fellow prime reality Heroes. The Heroes are shocked to see Stormer being mindless, so they get angry and want to avenge their friend. They are about to free themselves when Stormer reveals that his mind is intact, helps them free themselves, and frees himself. Stormer tells the Heroes that the alternate reality does have its own generator, but he wants to stay in the alternate reality to prevent the Brains from using the generator, much to the Heroes' worries. The Heroes find Core Hunter, who is arguing with two Brains for barring him from entering the testing laboratory, where the Heroes believe the generator is. The Heroes secretly capture and forcefully convince him to help them fight the Brains because the Brains cannot be trusted when they get what they want, as the Brains will destroy the Citadel. Core Hunter helps the Heroes get their stolen equipment back. He distracts the two Brains guarding the door to the laboratory by convincing them to leave it, so Stormer defeats and makes them unconscious. Furno then knocks Core Hunter unconscious. The Heroes steal Core Hunter's lab pass and uses it to enter the laboratory.

The Heroes find the generator, but they discover that half of an Amelium cylinder, which is needed for the generator to work, is missing. Von Nebula shows up, shows the Heroes the missing half in his possession, and threatens to destroy it if the Heroes fight him. He proposes an alliance with the Heroes against the Brains because he does not want his prime reality counterpart to win, and his fellow Citadel villains are barred from entry. Von Nebula also does not want the Citadel to be destroyed if the Brains learn that he betrays them. When he gives the Heroes the missing half, he also reveals that he actually imprisoned Makuro, who made the cylinder three years ago, while Von Nebula made the Histotron misinform people about Makuro disappearing and probably being deactivated, so Stormer was misinformed by the Histotron about Makuro. Von Nebula escorts Stormer to Makuro's cell while the other Heroes guard the laboratory. Makuro at first does not trust Stormer, but Stormer tells him that he is from a different universe where Makuro's dream of running the Hero Factory came true and created the second wave of Heroes. This gives Makuro hope and makes him want to help Stormer and Von Nebula.

Meanwhile, the Brains get impatient, so they send one of their own to investigate the testing laboratory. When the Brain sees Stormer's fellow Heroes occupying it, it discovers that it and its kind have been betrayed by the Citadel, so it goes to warn its leaders. Meanwhile, William, Jimi Stringer, and the other former prisoners, who took some Jolters' gear, are hiding in the Citadel's waterfront while the Brains are heading to the Citadel and Jolters patrolling the waterfront going to defend the Cotadel building from them. William wants to go back to the Citadel to help the prime reality Heroes, despite Stringer and one of the former prisoners' protests. Stringer gives William a small, black device, which is a communicator that their Alpha 1 Team used to use before the Hero Factory was destroyed and Stringer salvaged since his imprisonment. William uses it to contact the alternate reality Stormer, shocking William and the other Heroes. Preston tells William that he and his fellows will come to their location and defeat the Citadel finally.

Meanwhile, Makuro is in the Citadel's auxiliary laboratory for more than 15 minutes, creating a low-emission beta wave weapon that can put a few Brains at a time to sleep. The Brains resume their attack on the prime reality Heroes and the Citadel. Makuro suggests the prime reality Stormer and Von Nebula to divert the Brains' attention, so Stormer and Von Nebula can pick them off. The Heroes and the Citadel fight the Brains while Stormer uses the jammer to defeat six of the Brains, as the device can defeat six Brains at a time. Von Nebula and the Heroes head to the Citadel's roof to make the fight easier for them. When Von Nebula notices a unit of Jolters getting defeated by the Brains, this worries him, so he impatiently takes the jammer from Stormer and uses it to defeat some more Brains aggressively. However, this gets the other Brains' attention, so the Brains start to overwhelm the Heroes and Von Nebula. However, the alternate reality versions of the Alpha 1 Team, including Preston, William, and Stringer, the former prisoners, and the alternate reality Preston's group of fellow Heroes come to help the Heroes defeat the Brains. Stormer's body got alternated thanks to Makuro, who taught him how to make flying vehicles called "Sky Sleds", which all of the alternate reality Heroes are using in the battle. Von Nebula gets surprised to see his Stormer, allowing Breez to make him let go of the jammer, and then Furno takes it. The Heroes split the Brains into smaller groups, so Furno can use the jammer to take down one of the groups at a time. Von Nebula gets so angry to see his Stormer that he tries to use the Black Hole Hole Staff to destroy him, but when the staff is generating its energies, both Stormers shoot at the energies at the same time, causing it to cause Von Nebula's body to fold onto itself and vanish, finally ending his reign. The Heroes from both universes defeat the Brains. They celebrate their victory while peace is finally restored.

The prime reality Furno and prime reality Bulk make the generator work and able to do trans-dimensional travel. Preston, William, and Makuro tell them and the other two prime reality Heroes that with Von Nebula gone, and the inner circle and the Jolters destroyed by the Brains, they will get rid of the rest of the Citadel and re-create the Hero Factory. They also plan to destroy the generator to prevent any invaders from coming to the prime reality after the prime reality Heroes use the generator to go back to their universe. Bulk says that he and his fellow prime reality Heroes would like to come visit them someday and somehow. The two groups say their goodbyes to each other. After the alternate reality Heroes and Makuro leave the laboratory, the prime reality Heroes use the generator to return home.

Back in the prime reality, after Perjast fully recovered and reawakens himself, he finds himself strapped down to a cot in the repair bay. The prime reality Heroes, who returned from their adventure in the alternate reality and learned from Zib that everyone who evacuated Hero Factory went back inside, find and capture Perjast. They interrogate him and make him confess that it was Karter who sabotaged the prime reality's generator. The Heroes plan to find and catch Karter. Meanwhile, an alarm the Hero Factory's prison is sounded, and Karter, who thinks that the four Heroes got killed by the generator, notices Zib running. Zib says that the generator is causing a second explosion before he continues running. This shocks Karter, so he uses his communicator to call the Galactic Conspiracy's leader. Karter pleads with his contact to save him, but the contact refuses to avoid exposure. The Heroes appear, revealing that the second explosion is a ruse that they created to catch Karter. Stormer steals the communicator and threatens the contact. However, the contact says that the Heroes need Karter to find him and the Conspiracy, and then he kills Karter from afar to prevent the Heroes from finding the contact.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Galactic Conspiracy, who is in a temporary base in a far-off frontier world with acid seas, regrets killing Karter. He theorizes that the Stormer and his team might track the Conspiracy down, so he is thinking about moving the Conspiracy to another location, probably somewhere in the heart of the galaxy. He is also now thinking about making the whole Conspiracy come out of hiding and go destroy the Hero Factory soon. Meanwhile, back at the Hero Factory, in a viewport, Stormer is thinking about his alternate reality counterpart. After Breez comes to the viewport, she and Stormer talk about Von Nebula City's history and the possible future of their alternate reality counterparts, where they will finally get the same things the prime reality Stormer and prime reality Breez have. After Breez leaves the viewport, Stormer is also thinking about the Galactic Conspiracy coming closer in their plan to fight the Hero Factory. He also thinks about Von Nebula City's history, and wishes that his alternate reality counterpart will have a better life after the Brain invasion in the city.[SM5]

Later, Stormer studied the alternate universe and more than four others.(Dangerous Dimensions)
